Financial Analyst / FP&A

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Finance Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments. The Finance Analyst will be responsible for supporting financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities to help drive strategic decision-making and ensure financial health and growth of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Analysis:

   • Conduct detailed financial analysis to support business decision-making.
   • Analyze financial performance against budget, forecast, and prior periods.
   • Identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

2. Budgeting and Forecasting:

   • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
   • Collaborate with department heads to gather and validate budget inputs.
   • Monitor and report on budget performance, highlighting key variances.

3. Reporting:

   • Prepare and distribute timely and accurate financial reports to management.
   • Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards for reporting purposes.
   • Ensure compliance with internal financial reporting standards and policies.

4. Cost Management:

   • Monitor and analyze cost structures and identify areas for cost reduction.
   • Provide financial support for cost-saving initiatives and projects.
   • Evaluate the financial impact of business decisions and proposals.

5. Operational Support:

   • Support various departments with financial insights and analysis.
   • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
   • Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to improve overall financial performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis or related roles.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
• Experience with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Knowledge of GAAP and other relevant financial regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, CMA) is a plus.
• Experience in [specific industry, e.g., healthcare, technology, manufacturing] is preferred.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.

Work Environment:
