Job Summary

• Provide legal support across business functions, including Clinical Development, Medical, and Compliance.
• Draft, review, and negotiate various agreements, including clinical study and research contracts.
• Advise on legal and regulatory issues, including commercial law, healthcare, privacy, advertising, anti-corruption, and competition.
• Conduct legal research, resolve routine legal matters, and develop legal tools/processes.
• Assist in policy implementation, particularly in contract management and third-party oversight.
• Monitor regulatory updates and train teams on key legal topics.

Qualifications

• Languages: Native-level Japanese; Fluent English.
• Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and attention to detail; proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience: 3–5 years in a law firm or in-house legal role, preferably in life sciences.
• Education: Bachelor of Law; Bar admission (Japan, US, or other major jurisdictions).
• Knowledge: Contracts, corporate/commercial law, IP, anti-bribery, compliance, data protection, competition law.
