Description

Our client, headquartered in Europe, is one of the global top automotive system suppliers. They are aligned to the mega-trends shaping the industry: onboard experiences, automated driving, zero-emissions mobility and sustainable automotive design.

The Japan office is hiring a Sales Manager to support continued business expansion.

The main missions of the role are:

  • Develop the appropriate intimacy with his/her Customer contacts (Purchasing, Engineering, Programs) :
    • Build relationships with key staff in the client organization
    • Monitor the level of customer satisfaction at regular intervals or after each significant step
  • Prepare the commercial offers to answer on due time to the Customer requests :
    • Get a good understanding of the costing files
    • Propose and get validated the targeted pricing and the negotiation path / tactics to convince the customer
    • Formalize the offer with the appropriate wording
    • Understand and apply the guidelines proposed by the hierarchy regarding contractual management
  • Acquisitions :
    • Part of the Acquisition Team
    • Understanding of the Business Plan & RFQA
    • Preparation and update of the commercial offers following hierarchy’s instructions

Requirements

  • Education
    • Business Degree or Engineering Degree with a willingness to develop a career path in business
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 5 years of professional sales experience in Automotive
    • Established personal relationships and network with one or two JOEMs within the relevant markets.
  • Skills and competencies:
    • Fluent Japanese and English
    • Business model, industry, and products knowledge
    • Strong competencies in relationship management, and negotiation
    • Comfortable with financials
    • Good communication and presentation skills, and capacity of empathy
    • Business international mindset
