Packaging Design Manager

Job Overview:

We are seeking a creative and experienced Packaging Design Manager to join our team in the FMCG industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the packaging design process, from concept to completion, ensuring that all packaging designs meet both aesthetic and functional requirements. This role requires a strategic thinker with a keen eye for design, a deep understanding of market trends, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design Leadership: Lead the packaging design process, from initial concept development through to final production.
• Project Management: Oversee multiple packaging design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, and supply chain to ensure packaging designs align with brand guidelines and product specifications.
• Market Research: Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activities.
• Quality Control: Ensure all packaging designs meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and sustainability goals.
• Innovation: Drive innovation in packaging materials and design techniques to enhance product appeal and functionality.
• Vendor Management: Liaise with external vendors and suppliers to source materials and services needed for packaging design and production.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and develop a team of packaging designers, providing guidance and feedback to foster creativity and professional growth.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in packaging design, preferably within the FMCG industry.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
