Electrical Engineering Manager

Role and Responsibilities

• Management of Passive Safety Electronics application team for leading Japanese OEM.  Application team is located both in Yokohama, Japan and Detroit-area, Michigan.
• Responsibility for engineering design, development and launch of PS ECUs and associated sensors.
• Co-ordination and co-operation with other departments (e.g., Platform Development, Purchasing, Sales, Operations, Quality, etc.)
• Ensure that competitive products are developed for the customer and are delivered on-time and on-budget.
• Lead customer interaction and communication on engineering topics.

• University degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or comparable qualifications.
• Experience in managing engineering teams.
• Experience in developing and launching automotive products (ECU)
• Very good Japanese language skills and good English language skills.
• Ability to work independently, show good decision making capabilities and lead a global team.
