Description
Mission:
- To develop the Division’s commercial strategy, and to develop and promote the product range in line with the Division’s objectives to increase turnover whilst maximizing margin and profit.
- Team management: develop and mentor marketing team
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and deliver the annual and long-term marketing plans for the Division in line with Activity Direction.
- Support and facilitate the development and implementation of business/marketing plans at product level incorporating range development, gap analysis, pricing, purchasing plan, value proposition, product life cycle and turnover, margin and profit forecasts.
- Plan and manage the Division marketing budget to deliver maximum impact and exposure of the brand name.
- Develop and maintain a marketing information resource including Competitor data, SWOT analysis by product group of all major competitors, Price positioning matrix, Range available & sales penetration per product at vehicle level, Sales penetration per vehicle at geographic level, Market size and share per major product, Total “Wallet size” per customer/customer group for all major product groups plus % share of available “wallet”, Customer/Group profitability, and Sales analysis by customer to highlight cross-selling opportunities.
- Plan and manage the launch of new product catalogues, liaising with region/activity to develop new catalogues to ensure timely cascade of accurate product information.
- Develop and maintain a standard operating procedure for the marketing function and document the component processes. •
- Organize and implement a customer relations strategy including the customer satisfaction survey, customer development activities, promotions, and special events.
- Oversee business development activities through strategic planning of customer presentations, coaching for prospective customer meetings, and the design and development of prospecting and customer contact systems.
Requirements
Education:
- Marketing degree or Engineering degree with Marketing experience
Industry:
- Automobile industry experience is a plus, but not must. But need to have a strong interest in the automobile or automobile industry
- 10+ years in a marketing management role at manager level
- Team leadership experience
