Description
Support Japan Office Engineering Department and Manage activities related to Quality in accordance with customer requirements, Tools & Methods and Automotive industry practices.
The Quality Engineer represents the Customer Voice within the company. He / She is responsible of communication with the customer and with the others program functions on quality topics.
The main missions of the role are:
Production phase and Parts delivered to Japan
Follow the Quality Management process (8D) and ensure that issues are solved within defined schedule
Organize System and Process audit support on production site
Perform and organize Issue occurrence clarification for both serial life and warranty;
o Confirmation of occurrence condition
o Occurrence phenomenon reproduction
o Occurrence Data Gathering
o Initial IS – IS NOT Analysis
o Dispatch of Part to Plant and /orEngineeringDept.
Organize defective parts Initial analysis and testing;
o Product & process conformity data gathering
Initial FTA Block diagram creation with Expert supports and supporting development record material
Communicate with relevant parties and support quality improvement of products
As needed, organize Quality Wall, parts sorting and initial quality checks in Japan
Report Quality results to Japanese customer (OEM) and maintain Quality
records/documentation
Facilitate Change management according to Customer Quality Manual
Support creation of the PPAP files, and supports the Plant Quality Engineer for the submission of the initial samples, including process validation audit
Program Development phase
Support the Local Program Quality Engineers in creating the customer APQP deliverables (Customer Quality Manual) and present them to Japanese customer (OEM)
Organize and manage the Quality events with Japanese customer (OEM)
Communicate and handle customer’s demand and claim with all relevant parties.
Program Acquisition phase
Support the Program Team in defining and confirming the Quality objectives;
Support the Engineering Team in summarizing and collecting past Quality issues to be
addressed in the future developments.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years experience of proven experience in the Automotive industry including an experience in a program team
Experience in production in an industrial environment
In-depth knowledge of quality engineering techniques
Manufacturing process knowledge
Trained in Program Management System
Customer relationship skills
Above average communication skills and interpersonal skills
International mindset
Fluent in English and Japanese
