Mission:
This position will work in the Asia HQ focusing on design and development for JOEM customers.
This role is managing core R&D with support from Japan office for application engineering.
Activities:
Lead a team to ensure the execution of programs and optimize engineering direction to meet manufacturing, engineering and customer objectives.
Works directly with customer, program manager, / and or Director to assure program information flow and direction.
Details:
Overall responsibility for analysis of project, project plan, project initiation, project implementation, delivery and customer feedback.
Prepare engineering business plan, set goals/direction for subordinates in line with the Company’s business plan and goals
Ensure customer events and technical issues are handled effectively.
Provide timely, adequate resourcing to meet the business plans.
To identify, provide and evaluate the training needs of subordinates to enhance competence and skills.
To ensure effective compliance with established Quality System Standards.

Requirements
College / Bachelor / Master of Engineering (Mechanical)
Minimum of 15 years engineering experience with mechanical related products (body / structure / mechanical moving parts related)
Minimum 3 years as Engineering Manager in a lead role
Possesses in depth knowledge of product design, engineering, manufacturing, tooling and processing.
Good communication skills and team building capabilities
Managed a team of minimum 5 subordinates
Fluent Japanese and English skills, both written and spoken (Except for difficult kanji, does not need to use a translator)
Knowledge of DFMEA.
Knowledge of issue analysis and problem resolution
