Principle Project Manager (SW / AI)

Job Description

• You analyze the customer product requirements regarding impact and implementation in the company products and in different components, identify gaps and propose customization concepts
• You implement and improve the software architecture of speech dialog system which is based on a hybrid voice recognition system in which audio is simultaneously streamed to an embedded solution as well as one of multiple cloud solutions.
• You will interface and collaborate with experts of R&D departments, of the project development team and of the customer and its partners
• You conduct and moderate software architecture review meetings
• You review the design specifications and code of the development team and give advice in regards to improvement
• As the technical guide, your most important tool is clear communication of complex technical issues to internal and external audiences.
• You define and monitor metrics for the performance (startup time, latency, footprint, etc) of the SW solution and optimize it
• You collaborate with the project team on localisation and reproduction of defects

Required Skills

• 5+ years’ experience in development and architecture of complex embedded software, preferably for automotive and in connection with user interface technologies, with at least 2 years in the SW architect role.
• Experience with SW architecture concepts, tools (UML, OOP, Reuse, Refactoring, Design patterns)
• Deep knowledge about embedded operating systems (Android, Linux)
• Experience  in programming (Java, C/C++, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, XML)
• Proficient with source control tools (Git/GitLab, Artifactory)
• Demonstrated ability to master new technologies and tools quickly
• Strong team player and customer focus
• Positive "can-do" attitude, well organized, focusing on achieving results cost-effectively
• Excellent oral and written communications skills in both Japanese & English (MUST)
• Flexible working hours to manage across multiple time zones.

Preferred Skills

• Familiar with agile methods (e.g. Agile, Scrum)
• Experiences with ASPICE
• Experience on embedded devices (e.g. 64-bit ARM, Intel, SoC)
• Knowledge with voice recognition or related technologies

Education

• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, SW Engineering (MUST)
