Mission:

  • Define on a worldwide basis the Sales Product Group strategy for the customer in charge and ensure deployment in Regions/Product Lines.
  • Ensure achievement of Product Group sales performance for the customer in charge in line with agreed targets
  • Promote appropriate innovative products, modules and systems

Responsibilities:

Define on a worldwide basis the Sales Product Group strategy for the customer in charge and ensure deployment in Regions/Product Lines

  • Drive specific product interests from the customer, follow-up and translate into business.
  • Maintain and develop deep understanding of the company’s competitive advantages to select strategic projects, appropriate innovative products, modules and systems
  • Organize roadmaps exchange in order to define the Product Group vision for the customer.
  • Define the strategic projects to be acquired in close collaboration with the Regions/Product lines.
  • Coordinate all the Regions/product lines strategies and activities related to the customer in charge.

Business intelligence and information sharing

  • Identify decision making actors and rules on customer side, gather and share all useful information with concerned
  • Regions/Product Lines and functional networks (ex. R&D, Industrial, Quality, Project Management).
  • Develop an intimate relationship with key decision makers in customers’ purchasing, engineering and marketing organizations at senior level.
  • Be the customer’s central contact for information concerning the organization, key persons, new vehicle launches, production plans, etc, of the customers and communicates this information to Regions/ Product lines
  • Competition intelligence in full compliance including market share monitoring.

Ensure achievement of Product Group sales performance for the customer in charge in line with agreed targets

  • Be the preferred interface between the customer and the Product Group.
  • Be responsible for consistency of selling prices worldwide.
  • Drive globally the NPA, propose the sales strategy and participate in the CAA process.
  • Drive global negotiations with the Customer: business acquisition; annual productivity, market effects (currency, raw material,...), claims, overdues, warranty...
  • Tailor the sales messages based on a customer’s business and individual attributes
  • Take control in guiding the customer to a recommended action by discussion alternatives and reinforcing the value of making a change
  • Manage communication in crisis, protecting customer’s relationship
  • Coordinate important customer visits.

Promote appropriate innovative products, modules and systems

  • Coordinate and organize lobbying activity and manage global RFI/RFQ’s
  • Contribute to/Initiate Innovation Tech Days in co-operation with Product Marketing and R&D.

Lead the Product Group interfacing with the customer

  • Drive the Customer Development Plan (CDP) process, the Mid Term Plan (MTP) and propose the sales budget for customers in the Product Group.
  • Drive the CDP process (definition of the key targets in terms of Regions, Platforms ...), challenge these targets and consolidate the CDP for the Product Group.

Requirements

  • University or Relevant Degree with Experience
  • English (Business level) - should expresses himself fluently (daily communication with foreigners)
  • Japanese (Native level)
  • International business experience
  • Sales experience (in automotive industry appreciated but not necessarily)
  • Strong Negotiation and team working skills
  • Strong organizational and communication capabilities
  • Relationship building
  • Customer Focus, analysis and problem solving skills
  • Experience of living abroad is a plus
