Senior Manager Procurement (Strategic Sourcing) (自動車業界)

This position is with one of our global Tier 1 Automotive suppliers: present in over 30 countries.

The Senior Manager, Procurement (Strategic Sourcing) is a key role, working closely with Global and Regional procurement teams, leading purchasing team in Japan to source the material at most competitive levels of cost, quality, and delivery stands.

The team size is about 25 heads covering both direct and indirect material purchasing. The person in this position directly reports to Director Operations and functionally reports to Sr. Procurement Director AP.

The person will be responsible to manage various series of parts, material procurement and cost reduction activities, and other businesses such as product technology, manufacturing technology, quality, production planning, and in-house plants in the electronic equipment and components for mostly on the automotive industry in JAPAN/ASEAN region.

It is also responsible to secure profits and to serve customers by conducting a balance of quality, technology, cost, and delivery date.
The person will be supervising the following groups and lead strategic procurement work:

• Strategic Procurement
• Process control (purchase management)
• Material Productivity
• Leadership

• Bachelor’s degree in business or Engineering, Advanced degree or MBA is a plus
• 15+ years’ experience in procurement/supply chain/ operations or related field in manufacturing industry (Automotive industry or component manufacturer is a plus)
• Management experience required (Person who led multiple teams of purchasing / SCM division is a plus)
• Experience in working in matrix organizations is a plus
• Experience in interacting with mass-production plants in Japan and overseas is a plus
• Confident in negotiations and adjustments with stakeholders (related departments, suppliers, customers, etc.) inside and outside the company
• Good English and Japanese communication skill
• Experience of SAP
• Willing to travel and work with the suppliers and peers with different cultural background
