Quality Manager

Our client designs and manufactures advanced electrical systems for major automakers worldwide. It operates in over 40 countries and is recognized for its focus on sustainability, safety, and quality in the automotive industry.

They are seeking a QUALITY MANAGER.

• Lead Quality interface for J-OEMs
• Supervise each plant to ensure they meet J-OEM's product quality and quality management standards, thereby complying to their specific requirements.
• Review and verify each plant’s deliverables to meet customer satisfaction and requirements.
• Manage customer communications regarding quality issues and ensures timely escalation, including recall actions as necessary.
• Monitor warranty issue trends from a quality perspective.
• Analyze customer scorecard data from both quality and warranty cost viewpoints.
• Review each 8D report before submission to JOEMs.
• Identify significant market issues, escalate for potential service campaign actions and market data,
• Facilitate and coordinate meetings with JOEMs regarding quality matter and audits at each plant.

• Seasoned Quality Professional with 15 - 20 years of relevant work experience, preferably with over 10 years in automotive electronic manufacturing processes, electronic product/ technical analysis, and warranty returns technical analysis.
• Demonstrates an ownership mindset in addressing quality matter.
• Proficient in understanding customer scorecards and specific requirements.
• Knowledge of automotive electronic module design is highlighy advantageous.
• Exhibits strong leadership with a focus on responsibility, accountability, logical thinking, and effective problem-solving skills.
• Familiar with standards such as IATF16949, ISO9001, APQP, QMS and understands J-OEM's unique quality requirements.
• Skilled in quality tools including FTA, 5-Why, DFMEA/ PFMEA and Control plan.
• Possesses strong English communication and presentation skills.
• Has fluent Japanese skills (N2 or higher)
• Maintains a customer-centric mindset, recognizing the impact on the end product/ results.
