Description
Our client is a leader in connectivity: "Connectivity" is becoming increasingly important across all sectors. In the automotive field, rapid advances such as autonomous driving and electrification are being driven by the ability to electrically connect a variety of devices to exchange signals, data, and energy.
They seek a Project Manager for their Automotive division.
Responsibilities:
You will oversee the entire project management lifecycle related to new product development, expansions, replacements, and cost reduction for automotive products:
Form and lead cross-functional teams to manage timelines and tasks from customer requirement confirmation to mass production.
Evaluate and improve project profitability.
Coordinate with relevant departments and production plants to resolve issues and challenges.
Report project progress, request approvals, and present to management.
Requirements
Graduated from a technical college or university.
Project management experience in the automotive industry (Quality / Cost / Delivery)
General understanding of financial statements (P&L, cost accounting, budget vs. actual analysis) and hands-on experience in profitability evaluation.
Strong negotiation and cross-functional communication skills.
Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and execute tasks proactively with logical thinking.
Willingness to embrace change and put in the effort needed for problem-solving.
Knowledge of electronic components in the automotive domain
Experience with production scheduling or planning (nice to have)
Valid driver’s license.
Language proficiency:
Japanese: Fluent level (able to handle business communication and document creation).
English: Advanced level or higher (able to facilitate project meetings and handle Q&A with ease).
