Senior Legal Counsel Japan

We seek an experienced biotech/pharma commercial law attorney to provide legal and regulatory guidance in Japan, working closely with global legal and compliance teams.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Qualified Japanese lawyer (admitted to the Japanese bar).
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Expertise in healthcare laws, regulations, industry codes, and enforcement trends in Japan; APAC experience is a plus.
• Ability to support diverse client groups, responding pragmatically to urgent and competing demands.
• High level of integrity and ethical judgment.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational capabilities.
• Skilled in risk assessment and providing clear, solution-oriented legal guidance.
• Confident in advising clients at all levels with minimal oversight.
• Team-oriented mindset with a proactive and collaborative approach.
• Fluent in written and spoken Japanese and English.
• Exceptional communication skills in both individual and group settings.
